It's Official!

Can you believe it? Today, I signed up for my first race! I have been “blown away” by the efforts of my amazing running daughters, so I thought that I ought to get off my treadmill and follow their examples. So, “I put my money where my mouth is” (I’ve been saying that I wanted to run in a race, but never did anything about it) and got online and paid the entry fee. The best part about it is that I am running for my neighbor, Eliza. She is a beautiful 4 year-old who is suffering from Metachromatic Leukodystrophy, a progressive and terminal genetic neurological disease. If you'd like to meet Eliza, you can visit her website, http://www.elizaswish.org/. The proceeds of the race will benefit MLD research and Eliza’s Library, both of which you can learn about on Eliza’s website…. So, I’m hoping for the best with not “training” before the race because we’ll be in Ireland almost until time for the race. But, there’s always the walk option if the hiking around Ireland doesn’t quite qualify for serious training!… Move over girls, here I come!

I just checked the website because I thought I might be able to do it with you, how fun would that be! Looks like I'll just miss it, but wish you the best.
